Alabama Branch of the Taoist Tai Chi Society

Developed by Master Moy Lin-Shin, the TAOIST TAI CHI ™ internal art of taijiquan is a low impact exercise designed to enhance health. Join us to learn this ancient Chinese exercise emphasizing relaxation, stretching, health improvement and stress reduction. Enjoy the many benefits of this gentle art.

Beginner classes are held in Montgomery, Alexander City, Enterprise, Troy, and Tuskegee. Beginner classes are ongoing, so you can join anytime. Here's our 2008 Fall class schedule.

  • DENVER, CO: Aug 13 – 17 - Lok Hup week in Denver

  • TALLAHASSEE: Aug 16 – Tai Chi Intensive in Tallahassee, 2 – 5 pm EST

  • HOLIDAY CLOSINGS: AUG 29 – SEPT 1 – MONTGOMERY CENTER CLOSED AND CLASSES AT ALL ALABAMA LOCATIONS CANCELLED FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND

September

  • September 2: New classes to start at all locations.

  • September 7: Tai Chi demonstration at SAC's Gallery, Sunday, September 7 at 3 pm during ArTrek.

  • September 11 - Margaret Farris Art Show & Silent Auction

  • September 20: All Alabama locations closed

  • September 20 - TALLAHASSEE
    Tallahassee Center is celebrating their 25th Anniversary.

  • MONTGOMERY CENTER: ***Sept 27 – 28 ***
    SEARM and Dual Cultivation Workshop in Montgomery. All members should make every effort to attend this workshop! This will take the place of the Local Intensive in Enterprise for Sept.


Throughout the summer, we will collect small bottles of shampoo, soaps and other cosmetics as well as old cell phones and chargers for the domestic abuse center.
